Robert Sabbag, Damien Hirst (designer)
1998 - Canongate, Edinburgh - First, Signed and Limited to 1, 000
A spectacular presentation, designed and signed by Damien Hirst, as well as the author and the late great Howard Marks who provides the introduction.
A great book, and a typically Hirst’ian creation - removing the slipcase of US$100 notes reveals a silver spine silver edges and reflecting mirrored glass covers, an essential element for this particular subject, nonporous, cool to keep powder dry, and the clear reflective nature making it easier to chop and arrange in lines, but you knew that already... of course on opening the book you find the credit card, on silver silk tie, a book mark, perhaps, but more useful combined with the aforementioned mirror... wait, start reading and you will come to a recess within the pages in which you will discover in a perfectly cut out recess a rolled $100 note... if you need to know what this is for, then perhaps this is not the book for you. Octavo (book size 22x14cm), pp. xii 304 [4]. In publisher’s silver foil spine lettered in blind and glass mirror ‘boards’, dollar note patterned endpapers, all edges silver, in matching dollar note patterned paper covered slipcase. Condition: Fine in fine slipcase Ref: 112647 Price: HK$ 18,000
