A collection of articles originally written by Wodehouse for the magazine "Vanity Fair", many under pseudonyms, any reader of Wodehouse’s stories will be familiar with the topics covered here which preoccupied him all his life, ranging from Shakespeare, Hollywood and musical comedy, to butlers, thrillers, ocean liners and income tax. Provenance: Wodehouse aficionado, collector and member of the PG Wodehouse Society, John J Looijestijn, with his neat Chinese style stamp to the front free endpaper, a frequent contributor to the society’s magazine ‘Plum Lines’.
First edition, published on March 10 1932, with copyright page stating ‘first published in mcmxxxii’.

Finely bound by Bayntun-Riviere of Bath in three-quarter crushed blue morocco over matching cloth boards, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, hand-marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, all edges trimmed.
