Illustrated Ditties of the Olden Time - Anon Circa 1850 - Henry G. Bohn, York Street Prettily presented Victorian collection of twenty nine popular nursery rhymes and poems, each one illustrated and decorated by G. Inglis and lithographed onto gilt edged thick card, together with a decorated lithographic title page.

Poems include
Little Bo-Peep; Humpty Dumpty; Sing A Song of Sixpence; Hush-A-By Baby; Baa, Baa, Black Sheep; and Three Blind Mice.

Prone to loss of the card sheets due to the perishable gutta percha used to glue them in, this is a lovely bright clean and complete example with all 30 sheets of card, and original pale yellow coated endpapers and blue cloth decorated in bright gilt.

(19.9 x 15.5 cm) 30 single thick card sheets. In publisher’s blue cloth, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, front and rear panels with decorated borders in blind, front board with vignette of mother and children, yellow coated endpapers, all edges gilt. Cards reinserted, original perished gutta percha and foxed tissue guards removed.
