  Henry Wynans Jessup (1864-1934) wrote numerous works on the law in addition to several fictional titles. Syrian born, Jessup studied Law at Princeton, NYU, and obtained his doctorate from Hamilton College, he spent 16 years as a member of the committee of the New York Lawyer’s Association, was Chairman of the Committee on Legal Ethics and Grievances of the American Bar Association.
