‘This third edition has been revised to bring it into line with post-war conditions as far as possible’, with guns hard to find and twice the pre-war prices, ‘the rabbit has almost disappeared from the land’, ‘in that great partridge country between Bury St. Edmunds and Newmarket, the little brown bird is almost extinct’, and with cartridges, the author hopes that he has ‘seen the last of those horrible war-time cases which swelled like balloons at the slightest suspicion of moisture’.
A well written work which includes rough shooting, wildfowl, gun-dogs, advise on buying a gun and how to shoot.
